Steppe Gold (TSX:STGO) is a precious metals development company and gold producer in Mongolia. The company owns the Altan Tsaagan Ovoo (ATO) and the Uudam Khundii (UK) gold projects in Mongolia.
Steppe Gold has recently commenced gold production at its flagship ATO project. The company has mined, crushed and stacked approximately 715,000 tonnes of ore with an average grade of approximately 2 g/t gold to date. As of June 2020, Steppe Gold has produced and sold a total of 15,389 ounces of gold and 4,978 ounces of silver generating US$25.3 million. The company is on pace to meet its production goal of 60,000 ounces of gold in 2020.
Now that the company has commenced gold production, Steppe Gold intends to continue its feasibility study into the development of the much larger fresh rock resource underlying the current mining operation. The proposed development of a cyanide in leach operation for processing fresh rock is expected to have a life of mine of approximately 12 to 15 years.
Existing defined fresh rock resources are expected to be supplemented by the new discovery of high-grade gold and silver mineralization on the Mungu trend. Steppe Gold’s exploration is showing that the high-grade Mungu discovery is semi-continuous to the structurally-controlled mineralization drilled at the ATO 4 deposit and that significant resource expansion is possible.
The UK project is the first-of-its-kind joint venture (80/20) between Steppe Gold and the Bayankhongor Provincial Government. The company has completed an initial exploration program on this project consisting of IP and magnetic surveys, as well as rock chip and soil geochemical programs. The program resulted in four discoveries that the company plans to further explore with an extensive program of trenching and drilling in the near-term.
Steppe Gold is continuing to asses a number of additional opportunities to acquire exploration licenses and mining projects across Mongolia.
Steppe Gold’s management team has a track record of success in Mongolia. Keeping projects on track and under budget is Steppe Gold’s General Manager of Processing Grant Smith. Smith has experience in constructing and operating heap leach operations and most recently worked on the Tujuh Bukit gold heap leach project in East Java, Indonesia.
Mongolia is known as one of the last frontiers for large scale mining projects, offering investors and mining companies alike an interesting opportunity. With the success of Oyu Tolgoi, a tier one producer and one of the largest copper mines in the world, Mongolia has demonstrated the geologic potential for mineral wealth. Mongolia had a GDP of US$11.43 billion in 2017 and has an annual growth rate of approximately six percent. The growth of the economy is supported by commodity exports, such as copper and coal, improved business sentiment and the implementation of a government-led economic adjustment program.
The World Bank believes that Mongolia’s growth outlook is positive and is supported by the mining and manufacturing sectors. Gold exploration accounts for 45 percent of the mining sector and 2.6 percent of the country’s GDP, leading to the implementation of policies and programs to help promote gold mining.
In March 2017, the Mongolian government signed a Foreign Investment Promotion and Protection Agreement (FIPA) with Canada. The agreement provides Canadian investors operating in Mongolia with a legal framework that is expected to help bring greater predictability and certainty to their investments. Canada is a significant investor in Mongolia and has invested approximately $6.4 billion in the country.
The 5,493-hectare ATO gold-silver project is located in the Dornod province of eastern Mongolia. Steppe Gold’s mining license for the project is fully-permitted for 30 years.
Steppe Gold commenced production at the ATO project in December 2019. As of July 2020, Steppe Gold has produced and sold a total of 15,389 ounces of gold and 4,978 ounces of silver which generated a net cash flow of US$25.3 million. The company has mined, crushed and stacked approximately 715,000 tonnes of ore where leaching continues.
Steppe Gold remains on pace to produce 60,000 ounces of gold in 2020 at cash costs of circa $500 per ounce from the ATO Mine. The company plans to complete the feasibility study for its Stage 2 expansion project at the ATO mine moving forward. The expansion targets an increase in gold production to 150,000 tonnes per annum from underlying fresh rock ores.
A 2017 technical report outlined a project development plan for an open-pit heap leach operation at ATO. The project could produce approximately 147,000 ounces of gold and 673,000 ounces of silver from oxide ores over its 4.5-year mine life. Economics are highlighted by an initial capital cost of approximately US$20 million and average cash costs less than US$500 per ounce.
In 2017, Steppe Gold released a resource estimate for ATO. The report outlined a proven and probable mineral reserve of 5.23 million tonnes grading 1.25 g/t gold and 10 g/t silver. It also described a measured and indicated resource of 12.23 million tonnes grading 1.49 g/t gold, 9.99 g/t silver, 0.75 percent lead and 1.34 percent zinc, as well as an inferred resource of 1.05 million tonnes grading 1.03 g/t gold, 25.18 g/t silver, 0.52 percent lead and 1.11 percent zinc.
Centerra Gold (TSX:CG), the prior operator and owner of the ATO project, spent over US$25 million on exploration, including the completion of 67,000 meters of drilling and 28,421 meters of trenching. Since acquiring the property, Steppe Gold has completed an additional 20,000 meters of drilling.
The Mungu discovery is located northeast of the current resource from the ATO 4 deposit. The discovery is located on a 20-kilometer long structurally controlled, north-trending, mid-sulfidation epithermal gold-silver system. Steppe Gold believes that the ATO 4 deposit may be semi-continuous to the mineralization at the Mungu discovery. The ATO 4 Deposit currently remains open along strike to the north and at depth.
Now that the company is in production, Steppe Gold plans to turn its focus towards exploration at the ATO deposits and Mungu discovery. The company is also working towards releasing an updated feasibility study for the fresh rock project that is expected to include the Mungu discovery. Steppe Gold is also looking to complete the following activities at ATO:
The 14,397-hectare Uudam Khundii property is comprised of one exploration license and is located 800 kilometers southwest of Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. The property is an 80/20 joint venture with the Provincial Government of Bayankhongor.
The property is located between Erdene Resource Development Corporation’s (TSX:ERD) Bayan Khundii gold discovery and Altan Nar epithermal gold deposits.
Steppe Gold has completed an initial exploration program on the property that included geological mapping, geochemical sampling and geophysical surveys. The company expects to commence its trenching and drill programs in the near term. Steppe Gold is also looking into expansion opportunities to further consolidate its footprint in the area.
To date the company has completed:
Steppe Gold plans to commence a trenching and drilling program at the UK project by the end of 2019.

Steppe Gold Limited (TSX: STGO) (OTCMKTS: STPGF) (FRA: 2J9) (" Steppe Gold " or the " Company ") announces its financial results for the year ended December 31, 2021, as well as the filing of its restated annual financial statements for the periods ended December 31, 2020 (the " Restated Financial Statements ") and provides a corporate update. The Restated Financial Statements were prepared following a continuous disclosure review by Staff of the Ontario Securities Commission (the " OSC ") of the Company's disclosure records.
Financial Results for the year ended December 31, 2021
In conjunction with preparation of the Company's financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2021 and as part of a continuous disclosure review by Staff of the OSC in relation to the accounting for the Streaming Agreement, dated August 11, 2017 between the Company and Triple Flag Mine Finance Bermuda, Steppe Gold identified an error in how the arrangement has been reflected in the previously issued financial statements. The Company previously determined that the stream obligation was in substance a debt instrument (carried at amortized cost) with embedded derivatives (recognized at $nil value) linked to gold and silver commodity prices.
Upon further review of the arrangement the Company has determined that the arrangement should be accounted for in its entirety as a derivative measured at fair value through profit and losses. The Restated Financial Statements resulted in changes to revenue, the stream liability and fair value gains/losses related to the liability. The adjustments did not impact the overall net cash flows of the Company. The Company evaluated the significance of the corrections and determined the adjustments were material to the consolidated financial statements for December 31, 2021.
Steppe Gold has therefore restated its annual financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2020, as well as the associated management's discussion and analysis. Comparative figures for 2021 interim periods will also be restated in 2022 interim reports.
The Company's consolidated financial results for the year ended December 31, 2021 have been filed on SEDAR. The full version of the condensed interim consolidated financial statements and associated management's discussion & analysis can be viewed on the Company's website at www.steppegold.com or under the Company's profile on SEDAR at www.sedar.com .

Peruvian Metals Corp. (TSXV: PER) (OTC PINK: DUVNF) ("Peruvian Metals" or the ("Company") is pleased to announce that the Company has completed the sale of the Panteria Cu-Au Porphyry Project which includes the Renaldo Au-Ag Zone ("The Property") to Gold State Resources (TSXV: GOST) ("Gold State"). The total consideration for The Property $200,000 US cash and 9,275,000 shares paid in two equal instalments. In addition to the cash and shares, a 1% NSR will be granted to Peruvian Metals and additional bonus payments totaling $1.5 million CDN will be paid in cash or shares if certain milestones are met.
An initial payment of $10,000 CDN was received by the Company on signing the LOI on November 23rd, 2021. Peruvian Metals also agreed to sell its Peruvian subsidiary Empresa Querco SAC to Gold State for $7000 CDN. This already established legal business entity expedited the transaction in Peru by setting up a Peruvian holding company for Gold State. Upon signing the sales agreement, Gold State paid Peruvian Metals' subsidiary Hatum Minas SAC ("Hatum") the first installment of $100,000 US and will issue Peruvian Metals 4,637,500 shares of Gold State. The balance of the shares and cash will be paid 6 months after the initial payment.
Additional bonus/milestone payments include CAD$750,000 on or before the completion date of 10,000 metres of drilling on the Projects, and additional CAD$750,000 on or before the completion date of 20,000 metres of drilling on the Projects. At the sole election of Gold State, these payments can be made in cash or by issuance of common shares of Gold State at the value to be determined at the time of issuance determined by market value, provided that such issuance would not result in Peruvian Metals holding 10% or more of the issued and outstanding shares of Gold State following such issuance.
In addition, Gold State has granted Hatum a one percent (1.0%) net smelter return royalty (the "Royalty") on the Projects upon the terms and conditions of a transferable net smelter royalty agreement to be agreed upon between the parties. Gold State shall have a right of first refusal if Peruvian Metals receives a third party offer for the Royalty to purchase the Royalty on the same terms and conditions as such third-party offer.
The proposed transaction is subject to the TSX Venture Exchange acceptance of a filing required to be made in respect of the Acquisition and all other necessary regulatory approvals and acceptances, as well as other conditions precedent.
Jeffrey Reeder, CEO of Peruvian Metals comments: "The Company is pleased to complete the transaction with Gold State. This transaction shows Peruvian Metals' ability to create value through its project generation. The Panteria Project has multiple untested Cu-Au porphyry style targets and an undrilled high-level Au-Ag targets that need to be explored. Management of Gold State has considerable operational experience in Peru which will allow Peruvian Metals to focus on its core business model by developing high grade precious and base metal assets in Northern Peru. We are fortunate to receive an early ground floor share position in the new exploration company. The Company will continue to focus on acquiring and developing its own 100% properties which exhibit high grade potential to be processed at the Company's Aguila Norte Processing Facility. Over the past year, our fully operational processing facility reached positive EBITDA by simply processing 3rd party ore for a fee. As we move forward the ability to process mineral from our joint or 100% owned properties offers the potential to drive the current operating profit substantially higher".

White Gold Corp. (TSX.V: WGO, OTCQX: WHGOF, FRA: 29W ) (the "Company") is pleased to report that soil geochemistry surveys carried out during the 2021 field season on its Hayes and Pilot properties have identified significant copper, gold, and other multi-element soil anomalies. The Hayes and Pilot properties are located within the southern portion of the Company's land package (Figure 1). The Hayes property is contiguous with the Company's Betty property and is located approximately 40 km east of Western Copper and Gold Corporation's (TSX: WRN, NYSE American: WRN) Casino copper-gold porphyry deposit (M&I Resources of 14.5 Moz Gold and 7.6 Blb Copper and Inferred Resources of 6.6 Moz Gold and 3.3 Blb Copper) (4) . The Pilot property is located 55 km south-southwest of Newmont Corporation's (NYSE:NEM, TSX:NGT) Coffee gold deposit (M&I Resources of 2.17 Moz Gold and Inferred Resources of 0.50 Moz Gold) (3) .
This regional exploration work was part of the Company's fully funded 2021 exploration program backed by partners Agnico Eagle Mines Limited (TSX: AEM, NYSE: AEM) and Kinross Gold Corporation (TSX: K, NYSE: KGC) on its extensive land package in the emerging White Gold District, Yukon.
Figures accompanying this news release can be found at: https://whitegoldcorp.ca/investors/exploration-highlights/ .
Terry Brace, VP Exploration, stated, "Our regional exploration program normally constitutes a significant portion of our annual exploration budget and has continued to identify prospective new targets across our large district scale land package. Given the lack of rock outcrop and the unglaciated terrane in this part of the Yukon, soil sampling has proven to be an extremely effective early-stage exploration tool as demonstrated by these latest results. Our goal is to continually add new targets to our exploration pipeline and advance those of merit to the drill-ready stage."
"All of the significant grass roots discoveries in the White Gold District were initially identified through soil sampling. The discovery of these and other soil anomalies through our regional exploration program continues to highlight the prospectively of this underexplored district. We are encouraged by these results, especially with respect to their proximity to other significant deposits and new discoveries and are eager to follow up," stated David D'Onofrio, Chief Executive Officer.
Figure 1 is available at https://www.globenewswire.com/NewsRoom/AttachmentNg/6d5d7c4f-2206-471b-beec-892084acb5f8
The Hayes property is contiguous with, and is located immediately east, of the Company's Betty property, where 2021 maiden diamond drilling at the Betty Ford target intersected significant near surface gold mineralization, including 3.46 g/t Au over 50.0m (see Company News Release dated Nov. 17, 2021). Newmont Corporation's (NYSE:NEM, TSX:NGT) Coffee gold deposit (Measured and Indicated Resources of 2.17 Moz at 1.46 g/t Au, and Inferred Resources of 0.50 Moz at 1.32 g/t Au) (3) lies approximately 65 km to the west-northwest, Western Copper and Gold Corporation's (TSX: WRN, NYSE American: WRN) Casino copper-gold porphyry deposit (Measured and Indicated Resources of 14.5 Moz Au and 7.6 Blb Cu and Inferred Resources of 6.6 Moz Au and 3.3 Blb Cu) (4) is 40 km to the west, and C2C Gold Corp.'s Sonora Gulch project lies immediately south of the Hayes property.
The geology of the Hayes property is known mainly from regional scale geological mapping by the Geological Survey of Canada and Yukon Geological Survey, aided by regional aeromagnetic interpretations. The oldest rocks occur in the southern part of the property and comprise metasedimentary rocks of the pre-Late Devonian age Snowcap assemblage. These are thrust over felsic to mafic granitoids and orthogneiss of the Mississippian Simpson Range suite along the Yukon River Thrust and underlie the northern portion of the property. In the southwestern part of the property, the Snowcap assemblage is intruded by Middle Cretaceous granitoids of the Dawson Range Batholith, and in the northern part of the property plugs of the Late Cretaceous Prospector Mountain suite intrude the Simpson Range suite. The oldest known fault structure is the west to west-northwest trending Yukon River Thrust which transects the central part of the property. Major east-west striking faults, including an eastern extension of the dextral strike-slip Coffee Creek Fault in the south, also cut through the property. The northwest-trending Big Creek Fault, a relatively late major regional strike-slip fault cuts the western part of the property and is recognized as a controlling structure to many important mineral deposits in the district.
Figure 2 is available at https://www.globenewswire.com/NewsRoom/AttachmentNg/3f044e3c-3ede-4ee5-ad61-dac10810ab9f
The 2021 soil geochemistry program comprised sampling on 3 separate grid areas on the property, north, south and eastern grids (Figure 2). A total of 1,200 soil samples were collected at 50 m sample intervals on 100 m spaced survey lines. The most encouraging results were returned from the northern grid which measures 2 km east-west by 1.5 km north-south and lies approximately 5 km south of the Yukon River (Figure 3). The area was selected for gridded soils to follow up on isolated anomalous ridge and spur soil samples that formed part of a 2017 reconnaissance survey by the Company. The 2021 sampling identified a broad geochemically zoned multi-element soil anomaly with a central core measuring from 750 m to 1,000m in diameter and enriched in bismuth and arsenic, which is surrounded by a halo of anomalous silver, lead and zinc that is greater than 400 m wide. Anomalous copper occurs in the southern portion of the core, and a relatively small area of anomalous molybdenum occurs near the core's northern margin. Geologically the soil anomaly is associated with a plug of Late Cretaceous Prospector Mountain suite, which is known to be prospective for porphyry Cu-Au (Mo) and epithermal style mineralization. The soil anomaly overlies a magnetic high, and based on regional geological mapping and aeromagnetic results, similar intrusions occur in the immediate area and have not been covered by soil sampling. The anomaly remains completely open to the west, and currently additional soil sampling is being planned to outline the full extent of the anomaly. The geochemical zonation and elemental distributions indicate that the anomaly may represent the surface expression of a Cu-Mo porphyry core surrounded by epithermal style Ag-Pb-Zn mineralization.
Figure 3 is available at https://www.globenewswire.com/NewsRoom/AttachmentNg/4fa7ad2f-312f-4e95-8ff3-fd59b406bc38
The Pilot property is located approximately 10 km west of the White River and 40 km northeast of Beaver Creek, a small town near the Yukon - Alaska border. The property comprises 260 quartz claims covering 5,435 hectares (54.35 km 2 ).
The geology of the Pilot property is known primarily from regional geological mapping by the Geological Survey of Canada and the Yukon Geological Survey. The western part of the property is underlain by the Late Devonian age and older Scottie Creek formation, a metasedimentary sequence comprising mainly quartzites and psammitic schists. The eastern part of the property is underlain by the Late Cretaceous age Katrina Creek suite which comprises granodiorite and monzogranite. At the southeastern corner of the property, the Katrina Creek suite intrudes older meta-intrusive orthogneiss of the Late Devonian Mount Baker Suite. Isolated units of the Upper Triassic Snag Creek suite, which comprises gabbro to diabase, occur within the Scottie Creek formation and Mount Baker suite.
A northern portion of the current Pilot property was originally staked in 2000 by Teck Cominco Limited (now Teck Resources Limited) based on anomalous gold in regional stream silt samples and follow-up reconnaissance soil sampling which identified anomalous gold and arsenic values. Limited follow-up soil sampling (52 samples) by Teck in 2001 identified anomalous Au-As and Cu-Pb-Zn values, although anomalies were generally poorly defined due to the relatively small number of samples.
Figure 4 is available at https://www.globenewswire.com/NewsRoom/AttachmentNg/787cd200-3c07-4a4b-9b64-0260b639f306
Since acquiring the Pilot property in 2016, White Gold Corp. has significantly expanded the soil sampling coverage with a total of 8,434 samples collected by the Company. This includes 1,015 infill soil samples taken in 2021 (Figure 4) on two separate grids which covered known soil anomalies, a larger northern grid (1,800 m by 2,250 m) and a smaller grid (400 m x 900 m) located in the central part of the property. Previous soil sample coverage consisted of 50 m spaced samples on 100 m spaced survey lines, and the new infill sampling now provides much better resolution with 25 m sample spacings.
Figure 5 is available at https://www.globenewswire.com/NewsRoom/AttachmentNg/80767aa0-f042-4711-b365-c832e97e13f3
Soil sampling has identified 3 geochemically distinct zones: 1) gold-arsenic zone; 2) copper zone; and 3) gold-bismuth-molybdenum zone (Figure 5). The Au-As zone comprises several subparallel N-S trending Au-As anomalies that appear to be structurally controlled and individual anomalies can be traced for over 1 km along strike. The copper zone is located approximately 1 km west of the Au-As zone and consists of an arcuate shaped 2 km long Cu anomaly. This arcuate shape is also mirrored in the westernmost Au-As anomaly and indicates that similar structural and/or stratigraphic controls may be present. The Au-Bi-Mo anomaly is located approximately 2 km to the south in the central portion of the property and is more circular in shape. The source of the soil anomalies is presently unknown due to a lack of detailed geological mapping and prospecting, and complete lack of trenching and/or drilling. Geologically the Au-As anomalies are underlain by metasediments of the Scottie Creek formation. Although no major fault structures have been mapped in the immediate area of the property, aeromagnetic surveys over the northern half of the property indicate the presence of north-south trending structures that may be controlling mineralization. Mapping and prospecting, and GT Probe and/or mechanical trenching is required to identify the bedrock source of the anomalies. If results of this work are encouraging, initial RAB drilling will test the anomalies to determine the general thickness and grade of mineralization.
The Company is currently in the detailed planning stage of the 2022 exploration program, details of which will be announced in the coming weeks.
Sampling Methods and Analysis All 2021 soil geochemistry surveys were contracted to GroundTruth Exploration Inc. of Dawson City, Yukon. Field technicians navigated to pre-planned sample sites using handheld GPS units and collected C-Horizon soil samples using an Eijklcamp brand hand auger at a depth of between 20cm and 110 cm. Typically, 400 to 500 g of soil is placed in a pre-labeled bag, and a field duplicate sample is taken once every 25 samples. The GPS location of the sample site is recorded with the GPS unit, and the waypoint location is labeled with the project name and the sample identification number. A weather-proof handheld device equipped with a barcode scanner is used in the field to record the descriptive attributes of the sample collected, including sample identification number, soil colour, soil horizon, slope, sample depth, ground and tree vegetation, sample quality, and any other relevant information.
Analytical work for the 2021 soil geochemistry surveys was carried out at Bureau Veritas (BV) Canada, with preparation completed at their Whitehorse, YT facility and analysis at their hub laboratory located in Vancouver, BC. All soil samples were assayed for gold and a 37 multi-element suite using 0.25g aqua-regia digestion and ICP-MS analysis (Code AQ201). BV is an ISO 9001:2008 accredited facility, certificate number FM63007.

Nevada Sunrise Gold Corp. ("Nevada Sunrise", or the "Company") (TSXV: NEV) is pleased to announce that lithium mineralization has been intersected over significant widths in the inaugural drilling program at its 100%-owned Gemini Lithium Project ("Gemini"), located in the Lida Valley basin in Esmeralda County, Nevada . Drilling began in the second week of March 2022 and concluded in the first week of April 2022 . Two boreholes were completed for a total of 2,020 feet (615.85 metres) on drill sites located within a defined gravity low that hosts conductive layers detected by historical ground electromagnetic ("EM") surveys.
Borehole GEM22-01 was drilled to a depth of 900 feet and was terminated in a black, sticky clay that impeded further drilling progress. At 320 feet (97.56 metres), Nevada Sunrise's exploration team observed the presence of a clay layer similar to clay encountered in the Company's 2016-2017 exploration drilling in the Clayton Valley that had carried values of up to 1,400 parts per million ("ppm") lithium. Fourteen samples taken at 20-foot intervals between a depth of 380 feet (115.85 metres) and 520 feet (158.54 metres) from the Gemini clay layer were processed on a rush basis in April 2022 and returned a weighted-average value of 1,177.6 ppm lithium over 140 feet (42.68 metres). Concentrations within this interval ranged from a low of 746.9 ppm lithium to a high value of 1,950.6 ppm lithium. This initial result represents a new discovery of lithium-bearing sediments in the western Lida Valley, which has not been historically drill tested for lithium mineralization.
A second suite of samples was subsequently submitted from the upper clay layer in borehole GEM22-01, which was observed to contain intermittent brown clays and tuffaceous ash layers. The analytical result was the recognition of another mineralized zone averaging 295.45 ppm lithium over 60 feet (18.29 metres) from 320 feet (97.56 metres) to 380 feet depth (115.85 metres). When the two consecutive layers from GEM22-01 are combined, the result is a continuously-mineralized interval of 200 feet (60.98 metres) from 320 to 520 feet (97.56 to 158.54 metres) averaging 950.57 ppm lithium .
Borehole GEM22-02 was drilled to a depth of 1,120 feet (341.5 metres) at a location approximately 0.69 miles (1.1 kilometre) south of GEM22-01 and also encountered the brown clay/tuffaceous ash layer and the green clay layer. Representative samples from each layer were submitted in the second suite of rush samples and returned weighted-average values of 775.9 ppm lithium over 130 feet (39.63 metres) from 390 to 520 feet (118.90 to 158.54 metres) (see Table 1 below for results from GEM22-01 and GEM22-02).
The initial analytical results from boreholes GEM22-01 and GEM22-02 suggest that the lithium-bearing clay layers at Gemini may be widespread. Additional drilling is planned following receipt of an amendment to the current Bureau of Land Management drilling permit, which will be required to cover the Company's newly-expanded land position. In April 2022 , Nevada Sunrise staked 258 lode claims totaling 5,420 acres (2,193.4 hectares) over the outline of the gravity low to effectively cover the possible extent of the lithium-bearing clay layers. Follow-up geophysical surveys are planned in 2022 within the gravity low to further map the conductive layers detected by Nevada Sunrise in 2016.
Table 1. Lithium Results from Boreholes GEM22-01 and GEM22-02
The Company's exploration objectives for Gemini are twofold: testing the conductive zones for lithium brines at depth and analyzing drill cuttings for lithium-in-sediments. A total of 37 sediment samples were submitted to American Assay Laboratories ("American Assay") for analysis on a rush basis, and 210 sediment samples were submitted to ALS Group USA ("ALS"), with both laboratories located in Reno, Nevada .
Thirty-seven (37) water samples were taken at certain levels within the boreholes where the drilling encountered formation water. These samples were submitted to WETLabs in Reno, Nevada for testing of general chemical parameters and selected metals. The water flows were not significant and no brines were detected in either of the 2022 boreholes. The potential for brines exists at Gemini but may be located at greater depths than were tested in the 2022 spring drilling program.

Gemini consists of 387 unpatented placer and lode claims located in the western Lida Valley, Esmeralda County , approximately 6 miles (10 kilometres) east of the town of Lida, Nevada . Nevada Sunrise expanded the size of the Project by staking 80 new unpatented claims in March 2022 , and 268 additional unpatented claims in April 2022 . Gemini is situated adjacent to the Gold Point Solar Energy Zone, a Bureau of Land Management land reserve set aside for solar and wind power generation projects until 2033. Drill pads and access roads remain in place at Gemini with an active drilling permit.
The Lida Valley is a flat, arid basin with a similar geological setting to the better-known Clayton Valley basin where Albermarle Corporation operates the Silver Peak lithium brine mine, which has operated continuously since 1966. Exploration at Gemini is complemented by the Company's 80.09 acre/feet/year water right, a pre-requisite for the exploration and development of lithium brine projects in Nevada . Under the laws of Nevada , water cannot be pumped from a subterranean source without a valid water permit.
Sampling and Analytical QA/QC and Statement of Qualified Person
Sediment samples were shipped to American Assay and to ALS. The rush samples reported in this document were analyzed at American Assay utilizing a multi-element ICP-MS method. ALS will employ similar multi-element ICP-MS methods on the standard turnaround samples. Duplicates, filed blanks, and certified reference standards were inserted at regular intervals in the sample stream to ensure accuracy of the analytical method.
